Texans injury report: RB Woody Marks misses second straight practice
Here's a look at who was at practice on Thursday and who was out ahead of Week 16's matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Why Woody Marks' Week 15 TD wasn't called a rushing score but instead a fumble recovery originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here. The Houston Texans put up a dominant win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Texans cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (oblique) and running back Woody Marks (ankle) remained out of practice on Thursday.
The Houston Texans scored a touchdown on Sunday on a ball snapped between the legs of quarterback C.J. Stroud. They were stuffed twice down by the goal line before breaking out the apparent trick play. When you watch the replay, it's not even entirely obvious that it was on purpose. Stroud looked at least a tad confused.
It looks like the Houston Texans may be without key players on both sides of the ball when they host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Texans running back Nick Chubb returned to practice on Wednesday. Chubb, who missed last Sunday’s game with an injury to his ribs, was limited. Running back Woody Marks, who injured his ankle in the victory over the Cardinals, was a non-participant to open the practice week.
Several players didn’t practice Wednesday, including All-Pro corner Derek Stingley Jr. (oblique) and starting corner Kamari Lassiter, middle linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (ankle), defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (elbow, shoulder), offensive tackle Trent Brown (broken finger), linebacker E.J. Speed (knee), defensive end Denico Autry (knee).
Jordan was selected in the 6th round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Louisville. Even though he was their primary back, he was outshined by Isaac Gurrendo in the pre-draft process. Gurrendo was picked by the 49ers in the fourth round. Since Jordan’s selection, he’s rode the pine while Houston added Joe Mixon and Woody Marks in successive years.
