Sony Group is taking a majority stake in the company that houses the iconic Snoopy and Charlie Brown characters.
Japanese tech corporation Sony has agreed to purchase a 41% stake in the popular “Peanuts’ franchise from the Canada-based WildBrain in a deal worth $630 million Canadian dollars, or $458 million U.S.
The deal announced Friday, increases Sony’s stake to a whopping 80%, and it values the business at more than $1 billion.
