A '60 Minutes' segment featuring interviews with deported Venezuelans has appeared online despite being pulled by executives.
CBS News on Sunday pulled a “60 Minutes” segment from its latest episode that was set to highlight conditions inside the notorious Salvadoran prison where the Trump administration has deported
The 60 Minutes correspondent who worked on the segment alleged in an internal email that pulling it from airing was “not an editorial decision, it is a political one."
Under its new leadership, 60 Minutes aired a 28-minute version and released an extended 73-minute cut of Trump’s November sitdown with Norah O’Donnell. A full transcript, however, revealed that the network left out Trump’s testy exchange with O’Donnell over his pardon of a crypto billionaire.
CBS News Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss pulled a 60 Minutes segment on allegations of abuses at an El Salvador detention center where the Trump administration sent hundreds of Venezuelan migrants.
