Remington 1100 released 1963; your receiver doesn't have a letter pre-fix in the serial # so was produced between 1963 and 1969. The first 1100 pre-fix letter code after the 1968 Gun Control Act was letter "L". While that doesn't help you for exact year its early production.
Is the Mauser 98 a "better" sniperrifle than the Remington 700, or is it the other way around?? I have read that the Mauser is the best sniperrifle in the world, but I have also read the same thing about the Remington...

A Remington 11-87 Super Mag camo short barrel. I love it!!! Have done a few things to make it mine of course. Unfortunately Remington is no longer in business, and it is extremely difficult to find new parts for this unit. Does anyone know if the Remington Brand will be resurrected or is it dead and buried forever?
